Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery...

...if that's true, then Bakerella, consider yourself flattered!

Way back on Labor Day, Jason, Logan and I went to our friends BBQ in Pasadena (You know, the BBQ I blogged about that Logan cried and fussed the ENTIRE Time we were there!)- I offered to bring something to the BBQ and Becky suggested I bring a dessert- *perfect! I'd been wanting to try my hand a delicious recipe I saw on bakerella's website, and I figured this was my chance to make it! So rather than just make it and blog that it was delicious, I decided to do something a little funny and imitate bakerella's blog from when she made the same dessert...so here we go!

I started by grinding up the graham crackers...I actually ended up using our food processor in Jason's bathroom...Logan was sleeping in the living room while I was baking and I figured the food processor would be WAY too loud for him...so I decided to head to the bathroom because it was the farthest room from Logan's location...sorry babe! I don't think you noticed...I did a pretty good job of cleaning up! Haha.

Next, I added the delicious brown sugar!
This, however, is where I divert from what Bakeralla has on her website...because I had to deal with THIS ingredient next:

But, after a few hours, I was able to continue and pack down the crust in a pan...So yummy already!

Next comes the best part...the cheesecake! I was so surprised how easy it was to make! All it took was some cream cheese, sour cream, a bit of flour, vanilla, eggs and sugar! Who knew?!

I LOOOVE my kitchen aid! Makes everything SO easy...and pretty at the same time!

The cheesecake on top of the graham cracker crust- Yum!
Good enough to eat! But I was good and didn't....well, I didn't eat MUCH of it!

Next up...Chocolate Ganache! Oh yes, I said GANACHE, I'm pretty sure that makes me fancy :)

Almost done! Just in the fridge with it overnight and it will be ready to enjoy the next day!! Though I was in the guest room with Logan while everyone at the BBQ enjoyed these little treats, the word on the street is that they were an absolute hit! Even Becky's brother who is a chef thought they were good! Woot Woot!

THE END!
